Barilla "00" flour is a "strong" flour, i.e. capable of withstanding leavening times and mechanical stress: the strength of a flour depends on the amount of protein present in the grain of wheat and its consequent ability to absorb water, guaranteeing a better leavening result. The new blend of Barilla flour grains, thanks to its protein content, guarantees an optimal result in all preparations that require leavening of up to 2-3 hours.
You can make tasty homemade pasta with Barilla "00" flour : just add 9 eggs, salt and at least two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil to a packet of flour. After having mixed the ingredients and having obtained a homogeneous mass, leave it to rest in the refrigerator, under a cloth, for about 15 minutes. Subsequently, it will be sufficient to roll out the dough, by hand or with the machine, and create spaghetti alla chitarra in the fettuccine or make a sheet of pasta for ravioli or timbales.
